The Karner Blue Butterfly Festival, featuring a full day and evening of race/half marathon, live music, arts & crafts booths, parade, classic car show, trolley rides & tours, food court & beer garden and much more, is held every third Saturday of July in historic downtown Black River Falls. The 6th Annual Black River Area Oktoberfest will be held the first Saturday in October. Enjoy music, food, fun, local artisans & crafters, children's activities, car and motorcycle show along with many other festivities throughout the day. Fest grounds are located along South 3rd Street to the Sand Creek Brewery on Pierce Street. There are other festivities in & around Downtown Main Street. The Christkindl Festival is the  first Saturday of December  in Downtown Black River Falls.  Come experience the magic & celebrate the spirit of Christmas at the Black River Falls' annual Christkindl Festival.

The Christkindl Festival events will include; Breakfast with Christkindl & Father Christmas, Christkindl Market (Christkindlmarkt) with local & regional artisans, crafters & vendors, live Reindeer exhibit, Children activities, festive entertainment with local & area talent & performers, Christkindl & Father Christmas coronations, horse drawn wagon rides, visits from Santa, Mrs. Claus & many other Christmas characters, evening lighted parade with Children's lantern parade & much more.
